Steff-I'd go for a west coast gathering..for sure. I've always wanted to meet you and Jeff and the kiddos--and we could definatley drive down to the LA area-even if Scott couldn't get away. How many of us west coasters are there?? Should we do a west coast roll call?

Sam will be 3 months on the 4th. He's so cute, can I post a pic anywhere? I guess I can email them to you if anyone wants one..

Steff-worried about your bro and saying prayers for him.

Kaylee turns 10 on the 6th. Having a party with kids from school on Friday and trying to think of an easy craft to do with them? For Emma's we bought little denim aprons and stamped and painted stencils on them. Was thinking of just doing a make up and hair kinda party for Kaylee's though. (They have a huge glamour kids make up set on sale at Costco for $20-was thinking of just buying that and letting the girls go crazy with it??) Any ideas??

HELLO from NOT sunny OHIO!!!! We are having a blast, despite the gloomy weather. We need to clarify something.......Kathleen was able to get out on her own recognisance (I have NO idea if that is the way you spell it, but you get my drift), so please save your money. Bless her heart...she made it this afternoon, just in time to finish off the pudding shots. Now what will all the others drink??????? Seriously though.....we are having great fun. Yesterday, we hung out at the indoor pool for HOURS, and then spent the evening at Chuck E. Cheese's. LOTS of swimming, making new friends, holding ADORABLE babies, and watching all the kids together. What could be better??? Only ONE thing: It would be better if all of YOU were here!!! Robin and Donnita are not the TRUE lushes......we'll just let you ponder on that one!
~
Chase is home with new meds and so far, so good. He and his daddy have really been missed here! We are already beginning to discuss plans for next year's get together. How about Niagra Falls???? Or Cedar Point? Or Orlando? Or Myrtle Beach??? Hmmmmmmm what about TENNESSEE??? I hear IT was beautiful and sunny this weekend!!!
~
ALICE, BARB, SUZI, PAT, and everyone else who wasn't able to be here....you are missed MUCHLY!!! And, Deborah...your message was SO sweet! Glad to have you here in spirit.
HUGS,
Susan and Robin

Steff....Is your baby bro. out of ICU and back in peds?LOL What a polite little girl you have:^) wanting to call Grandma. Jeff doing any better?
Can't wait to hear stories from the reunion.

FUTURE BRIBERY for all west coast people. I can get GREAT RATES at hotels thru someone T.A rates plus if there is a group really great rates. I must tell you all this too.If you every try priceline.com (now you hafta put your credit card in there before you can search no charge just if they find what you need. I have always been HIGHLY impressed at the GREAT deals I get at places that are so posh I feel almost GIDDY...Last time we went to Rancho Mirage stayed at the most AMAZING resort for 60.00 a night. I always start my bid low. This is a 5 star resort. VERY KID FRIENDLY(just rich kids LOL) and Jeff HAD TO open up his mouth at the pool being the conversationalist he is(we call him THE MAYOR) then tells a lady how much we paid a night. She just about went into cardiac arrest and 5 minutes later we had a gathering of folks who had heard it thru the GRAPEVINE and we had a CROWD/angry mob LOL surrounding us asking how we do priceline etc. They thought they had a deal at 300.00 a night... OOPS I was getting on Jeff the whole way back from the pool and he just laughed. MAN it was quite comical. But what you HAFTA DO when you go on to hotels and resorts it pick 4-5 star ONLY. Give em a LOW bid and sometimes you will be amazed at what will happen.

I gotta tell ya something. Olivia has been TERRIFIC for the last few days..I am sooo HAPPY...We've had lots of fun. This morning I tell her let's look in the giant hefty bag granny gave us yesterday???WELL my sweet mom bought the kids each a pair of shoes backpacks socks undies (LOADS OF EM) and an outfit each. SO Olivia gets the shoes and I have been only getting her the velcro over shoes cause she can do those by herself.(and BTW NEVER gets her right and left wrong even when ya ask her like wheres you right arm??? (too much EI LOLOL she knows em better than Kyle )These are cute and nice and light (not her usual payless kind but those really LIGHT avias. Liv put one on I showed her how to pull the velcro a bit tighter than her others and man she GLOWED and ttok it off and said .MOM I GOTTA CALL GRAN and say THANK YOU FOR THE SHOES (the child is really polite) I say wait lets look for more each pair of panties or socks she would light up PURPLE SOCKS YAY WHITE PANTIES. ADORED her new tinkerbell backpack and as a matter of fact she won't take the darned thing off. Then puts on the new outfit and I tell her the T-shirt says GLAMOUR GIRL she looks down at it(she HAD to TRY IT ON) and for God's sake this child does this walk around the floor like trying to emulate I dunno what a movie star I guesss and looks at me as she passes by and says WELL LA DE DAAA.. Then I crack up and unfortunately I couldn't help laughing when she gave me th funniest booty shake and rolled over back on me and laughed our butts off .Then she got sooo sweet and says MOMMY I LOVE YOU and I LIKE YOU TOO.. Just matter of fact. Child makes me melt sometimes.Well so long for now HOPE YOUR ALL HAVING FUN WITHOUT ME!!!;/ LOL Seriously fill mein I wanna know details and if ya get a puter I wanna call you guys so you can talk to the girl so someone send me the # K???? Hey!~I'll commiserate with you Alice. We can't drive in now either .(I just know Robin & Susan arn't gonna believe this but it's true) Somehow I came down with hand/foot/mouth virus, aka: cocksackie.Soo~I can't be around the kiddies. Plus the ones on my hands & feet hurt when I hold the steering wheel or walk.I just hope this passes quick & my kiddos don't come down with it & heaven forbid the DH cause I can't imagine what he'd be like with it! I'm thinking that the rash Nick had a couple weeks ago that I thought was from him playing with a caterpillar could have maybe been this? I know his hands eventually peeled.Or I guess I could have got it from one of the 1500 places I've been with the kids in the last few weeks.
Well, glad to hear Steff's lil bro will be ok soon.
Kathleen in jail? Robin the lush?~Nah
Ok, I'm going off to sulk.I did leave a message on Susan's cell phone but it hurts to talk too.

Steff....

I (at areally long shot) would go for a West coast get together....
Airfares from here are nearly $500 cheaper to L.A. than to N.Y.
And now... getting down to the home truths....
Hubby... is not actually my hubby yet...
and we have always said when we get married we will honeymoon in Disneyland....
Without Kids.....
At this point in time... the way we are saving...(not)
and as time goes...
We reckon we can make it around...the year 2065... when we retire.
Is that OK with everyone??...
I mean...
It gives us all plenty of time to save and plan doesnt it??

I hope everyone is having fun... although I KONOW YOU ARE... AND... I DONT want to hear about it for weeks on end when you get back....

KIDDING....

I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING !!

Where is Linda?? Last year she gave us a Blow by Blow account of the whole weekend...it was almost like being there... well...actually it didnt even come close to being there.. but it was really really good..

OK... enough of my whingeing and whining...just because I am all alone this weekend, and cant afford to be where the action is....
Alright alright ... I will stop.....

Love you all....

Tammy...

Hi all, I just talked to Susan, she says that everyone is having a wonderful time. They couldn't go to the water park today due to it being cold & rainy!
Everyone made it safe, except for Kathleen. Susan didn't give details, but said it was something about Kathleen being in jail! Will get details on that tomorrow. She may need help with bail. The plans for tomorrow are uncertain due to a 90% chance of rain. There are approximately 63 members present & more arriving tomorrow. Wish everyone could be there to share in the BIG FUN!

HI ... Sue I saw it and it was awesome I didn't tape it on the VCR though cause we have a sattelite with tvo that records right on the personal tv its very cool. I really enjoyed it though and think the parents are awesome. And Naia is sooo darned cute and such excellent speech didn't ya all think???Oh and the story before about Bella and the dual liver/kidney transplant? And her dad? Oh man Jeff and I watched that one too heartwrenching moments...BUT since it is a "defining moment" you all know it will turn out great. A test of the spirit. I love the part in the show when Naias' mom was talking about how she decided to keep her when she heard a sermon at church aww ya just gotta see it I will look it uop later to see when they will reshow it.

THANKS again MB you are truly a GIFT to me you know that right? WELL YOU ARE!!!!! I will fill ya in as the week goes by.

Gee whiz Mary what no time??LMAO cmon girl I still can't figure out how you manage now....((HUGS))) and good to know you and Nora can have some time together///

Okay here goes....my brother only has a BIG teratoma and the reason he had the nlarged lymph nodes is cause he has double gnarly pneumonia. I never thought I;d say hip hip HOORAY to double pneumonia but man YES!!!! The guy is my height though (5'6) and is down to 108. He is SKELETOR(remember the cartoon? ( my nephewsI usta babysit usta watch that)But he will at least we know get better. My mom and I spent the entire day there. They finally had to take him out of PICU...LMAO... He has a great ICU nurse and actually me being the big sis made sure(my ma's kinda shy and my bro is a martyr) he had orders from the docs for pain meds standing orders so they wouldn't hafta keep calling the doc (he couldn't sleep cause of massive headaches I am thinking cause his hemoglobin is so low. Actually before we left he eeked out an 8.5 and 8.0 is transfusion level.I noticed when he slept he looked much better and breathed so much better so I made sure he could at least have meds till the headaches were gone. He looks so tiny and frail now.I look like HELGA SAGA Slipovovitch next to the kid. Well actually he couldn't get up but I sat next to him and outweigh my baby bro by 20 pounds. LOL embarassing..LOLOL H'es still on 15 liters O2 but at least on that he is at 90-92. So all is well. I know that doesn't sound great but now he is in a good spot and NO CANCER.Man I have dealt with hospitals for so long I am just getting to know how thinfgs work and my ma was flabbergasted when I got the nurse to get him the orders and Chris slept and the nurse got the doctors on the phone to let me know what was up.My bro was so out of it in the earllier part of the day that I did NOT know what was up and my mom would have waited there all day so patiently.SO hopefully I showed her that you can do things in a nice way without being a PITA and actually have them like ya too...I teach her yet. After being at UCLA ya gotta get tough man. LOL I won't even tell ya the nickname my bro has for his hospital...Well it rhymes with Kaiser and begins with a D.YIKES!!!!! He's a sick guy though with one of those sick sense of humors. So alls well that ends well.. Thanks guys BYE

Robin~I am so happy to hear that Chase is coming home tomorrow! I hope that they have finally figured out the right meds for him.

Steff~I am keeping your family in my prayers. Man, you have a lot to deal with. Hope Olivia is liking school!

OK~my kids want to play on the computer now so I will give it over to them. Have a great weekend everyone!

Did anyone see (or tape)Defining moments on Discovery Health last night? It was on soooo late (9:00)LOL-I fell asleep and missed it! Of course they ran it again at MIDNIGHT! I didn't tape it and I don't see any info about when it will run again. I was told it was excellent. If anyone taped it, I'd love to borrow the tape (of course I'd pay for shipping to me and I'd send right back!) Thanks

Robin, so glad to hear that Chase is doing well and coming home. I pray that the new meds will do the trick. O.K. can you stand some more advice? Our son used to get up at 4:00 am every day. We bought a digital type clock with huge numbers. (Walmart/Osco has them for $10) We mounted it up high where he couldn't reach it. Above the clock we posted 6:00 just like it would look on the clock. We told Jack not to come in our room until the first number was a 6. Here's the tough part. We then locked our door. After three or four nights, he stopped trying the knob. He could not leave the upstairs hallway because of our alarm system. It would sound off if he started down the steps. The other part of this equation (discovered by our babysitter) is to make your house freezing cold from 1:00am until 6:00am. We have a programmable thermostat. She used to do this when we were out of town. Jack would still wake up but then he had no choice but to get back under the covers. He also has a computer in his room if he simply cannot sleep. Again so glad Chase will be home. Here's to new beginnings. MB

BTW - I think I read that it's Courtney's B-Day today --- so Happy 9th Birthday to Courtney!!! :) - Once a year I try to be on time for something -- so this is it! LOL! ---- Adam keeps telling me "I'm not 9 yet Mom!" when I want him to do something responsible (like pick up after himself - etc! LOL! Let me know if it's the "magic" age, OK?!) :)
Ok - just a few more laundry loads & I think I'll be done.... hope I have enough detergent -- forgot to pick that up when I went to the store tonight -- how could I forget that???!

:-D Guess what? The Chase man gets sprung as of tomorrow, we have to be there for his "wrap up" meeting and then he is ours again. I am really nervously waiting to see him on these meds. I called again tonight and he spoke to me for a minute or less and dropped the phone and went back to his play so the nurse picked up the phone and started taking to me :-) little sh$$ was too engrossed in his art project she said. Now...I got to tell you, Chase so engrossed in tracing shapes on a huge square of paper is a SHOCK AAANNNDDD she said..(I hope you are all sitting) that she sees NO SIGN of hyperactivity, none now. I cant imagine this...not even if I pretend can I imagine it so i am not going to get my hopes up but can you believe it??? My little guy? Not hyper? LOLOLOL, she had me cracking up trying to picture it. However he cant be too perfect because before we hung up she did say she hoped we had enjoyed the little respite before he came home :-) She also said he has been getting up every morning at 4 am eeeekkkkK!!!!! Now what in the world am I going to do about that??? And it seems he has developed a side effect from one of the new meds...so they may have to change one of them already. Oh I cant wait to squeeze the stuffing outta him :-) if he'll even have anything to do with me. He has refused our calls for three days now and I am thinking it is cause he is upset with us, but whatever the reason I am soooo glad he is coming home and I pray it will be a long long long time before he has to go back.
Steff... HUGE HUGS and prayers to you and your family including the ole bro of yours..LOLOL, I think the peds nurses should put him in some of their jammies too, and you should get a picture :-) tell him he has prayers coming from Michigan.
Love to you all, and thank you all SO MUCH for the prayers and thoughts and hugs:-D

I was just checking the message board and noticed all the happy birthday wishes to Sarah but it's not my little girl. Her birthday is coming up on September 10. My baby is growing up and it's making mommy sad!
Sarah is starting to stand from a squating position. She can only stand a few seconds but she thinks she is hot stuff (and so do we!). She has also figured out how to do a somersault. The sign language is going slow. She screams if I sign! She knows several signs but refuses to use them. Go figure.... She is super stubborn.

We are off to New Orleans in the wee hours of the morning...Six Flags all day, and then off to Pensacola for the weekend. The kids are pumped!
I guess depending on how good Six Flags is, we might go back by there on the way home.

HI!!!
ROBIN I LOVE YOU and MISS YA BUNCHES...I'm sorry you hafta go thru this ALL over again.Liv prays for Chase every night and always ends it with a HEY MA'AM(that's Amen to Olivia)((HUGS))) to you all.

Barb Sarah is a sweetie. Kyle Livs older brother is too. When she is angry or just crazy he can get her back to earth and smiling and laughing in a way Jeff nor I ever could.I's so cool to see. Funny thing too he has NEVER EVER been embarassed of her. He protects her like a mother bird .I even have to get on him bout that sometimes cause he lets her do things that well are funny but I would not want her to do at school.I always ask him???Kyle what if Liv does that on the BIG playground? You don't want the kids to make fun of her would ya.He's getting better bout not babying her though.

Okay today is the big day.I had gee whiz at least 2 hours sleep and am just plain jumpy.Today we go to Livs kindergarten class and meet the parents and kids.We already know the teachers I saw em yesterday to drop off the 5 pages of info I had for the parents about ds (A the questios on the BB you attached to a post I used it and the copyright is on the sheets) and I wrote an intro and explained what an IEP is and whatta great friend Liv is and to NOT FIX or DO FOR her rather show her so she can own skills for herself(thanks to MB :) your the best girl.) Also hmmm in the end I wrote how I feel in my heart of heart that their children wll be much more compassionate understanding kids so we will all benefit from this gig... :) and my phone #'s.I was reading Livs ammended IEP and wanted to share what will go on with her this year.I'm taking it straight from the source... here goes.

The district has offered placement in the primary SDC eith mainstreaming into the gen ed kindergarten class at her home school .....Also the district is offereing support in the least restrictive enviroment by an inclusion facilitator.Inclusion will support Olivia for 2 hours of direct service(social skills,co teaching or direct service) and 2-3 hours of indirect service (modification, covering the SDC so the sp. ed teacher can get into the gen ed classroom observation collaboration) for a total of 5 hours a week.

Then she gets her regular speech (1 hour) ot (1 hour) and APE (30min.) which will mainly try to be done in the afternoon so that she won't be pulled out of the reg ed cklass and also I like it when Olivia gets her service with other kids and she will have a better shot at it if she does em in the afternoon with the other kids in the sp. ed class. One on one if not motivating to Liv she likes the group thing and so do I.Well then I take Jeff to the hospital to get his 2 gnarly tests done 1 actually is bad the 22nd they put him out and man does it take a lot to put him out. My bro is in the hospital as of yesterday with pneumonia and his hemoglobin was 8 so they were preparing to do a transfusion on him. The kids hafta go with me as my mom will be with my bro. So I will be at UCLA all day with 2 wild children >PLEASE PRAY FOR MY SANITY...LOL Hoping Jeff will have no more varices. If they band em (that's his 2nd test) he is feeling awful and I hafta take care of him real well.So LORD help this girl.I hafta wait till tomorrow to visit my bro.LMAO Guess what? He is a peds oncology nurse right well yesterday they put him up in the peds unit (the head nurse of peds requested it he has his own room ) so his fellow nurses can take care of him...LMAO..I cracked up when I heard that one. BYE

Got a cute story to share. This morning my 6 yr old Sarah had a friend over to play. Our neighbor Bonnie who is 7 and has DS also came over to play with the girls. As they were all playing Barbies together I overheard Sarah's friend ask "What is wrong with Bonnie?" Sarah sat there a minute thinking and then said " Well, there's nothing wrong with Bonnie, she just has Down Syndrome." Of course the other little girl asked "What does that mean?" Again, Sarah paused to think and here's what she came up with: "Well, it means that it takes her longer to learn how to do some things than it takes us. But it also means she can do alot of things we don't know how to do, like sign language and getting out of locked doors (Bonnie is our local escape artist!)and doing splits and tumblesaults and cartwheels. She even showed me how to climb a fence the other day! And she shows me how to do some sign language too!" I was impressed with Sarah's explaination to her friend of what Down Syndrome is to her and was even more impressed when Sarah told her friend that being different just means someone has other things that they are good at and can teach us. Anyway, soon the girls were all playing school, taking turns being "the Teacher" , when I hear Sarah and her friend tell Bonnie that it's her turn to be teacher and could she teach them some sign language words?
Maybe it was just me being in a very sensitive mood, but it brought tears to my eyes hearing all of this!!! Sarah knows her baby sister Alison has Down Syndrome like her friend Bonnie and will often ask us if Alison will do .... like Bonnie. We tell her that Alison will do things like Alison, just like she does things her own way not always like Caitlin and Mom and Dad do things. I hope that both of Alison's sisters will go on to do wonderful things helping people understand more about what having DS means to our kids and their brothers and sisters.
Ok, I think I need to go get some chocolate, a sappy novel and escape in the book for a while!!! Lately real life is getting a little too dramatic for me.
Hope everyone enjoys the day!
Hugs and prayers from the sap of the day!
Barb

HI!!!!

Kathy man your story cracked me up...SORRY but its funny when it haappens to someone else I am sure you were FREAKING!!!!Ya know like some of Robins I know its terrible but man I get such a laugh outta em then I'm thinking OMG I am so mean ...neatly folded clothes.LOLOL... Awww how is sarah doing besides walking naked thru the neighborhood with neatly folded clothes in her arms???

Okay guys this is the first I have been alone in soo long .I am loving it cause I am feeling EXTREMELY overwhelmed.I find myself literally holding my breath.LOL then its like steff breathe man breathe.I wanna get off of here soon as I would LOVE to take a peaceful shower and perhaps for the first time in over a year get out my blow dryer and actually do something like that...My mom finally went on the vacation she was supposed to last week when she fell up her brick stairs and cracked her nose(doesn't look like a break you guys but her nose is definatley hmmm different God Bless her.) so she goes to visit her friend again(the day I raided my mom and dads house with all the kids in the jacuzzi)now this morning I had to call her about my bro. I got a phone call from him at 4 30 this morn. He sounded strange.I mean out of it and asked me to come over with a themometer. So I JUMP outta bed tell Jeff RACE to my bros the guard won't let me in his condo complex cause my bro won't answer his phone. I freak and say COME WITH ME to hiss door cause somethings wrong. So he calls another guard we go to chris' place and after BANGING on his door he answers. I take one look at the kid and sit him down. The guard wants to call an ambulance but chris refuses and says ill take him. I take the kids temp it was 104.7.He had 2 pairs of sweats on 2 jackets his bed was EWWW just wet from sweating. I force him to take off the dang jackets and get a blanket over him and get in my car.He is the most STUBBORN man in the universe. Now I know from last night his hemoglobin was scary low. and he his cxray looked not so good bronchitis and just didn't look good. So I race him to his hospital which is FAR bring him in.Go upstairs to the peds unit and tell em chris is downstairs and you make sssure he is on leave. Friends came down to see him he is there I am gonna go back later but man this girl is exhausted. So then I had to call my mom to tell her Chris was admitted and she is driving back.I am telling you the last 3 times she has visited this lady a dear friend in Cambria only 4 hours away. First time I had to call to tell the lady to tell my mom to get HOME.(we had just got the call her baby sister had died suddenly of a heart attack at 40). Next time she goes fallls on the stairs, now this time Chris.WOW.I too am getting ready for my kindy thing on tuesday and A thanks for that list on the BB about Questions regarding DS?? I printed that baby out.And hubby goes thursday for another pulmonary test and he is freaking over it saying he won't do it. I here am arguing but sheesh they tried before and tortured the heck out of him with NO SUCCESS.Just BRUTAL.Then after this test he may possibly refuse he will go for his endoscopy to band a few reappearde varices.Kyles b day is next week. Sunday a lady slammed into my car teariong off the bumper and I am dealing with that(seatbelts are a good thing guys Kyle Liv nor I was hurt) then my bro. Man school starts next week.OKAY you guys i am OFFICIALLY FREAKING OUT!!!I am gonna take a nice hot shower .

ROBIN ROBIN ROBIN COME HERE and give me thehospital # I am gonna call later today to get it if you can't.BYE I LOVE YA GUYS from the whiny steff

I know how you feel, Robin. Sarah used to think it was a game to walk out of our house, of course without telling me anything about it. I can't tell you how many of my neighbors I got to know because of her "walks". Did you hear about the time I went out looking for her and my neighbor brought her back, and dressed her? We live in the middle of the block, and she had gone out, and I went uphill to see if I could find her and she apparently had gone the other way. My neighbor who lives directly behind us was driving home from the grocery store, and saw this naked kid standing on the lawn down the street from our house... Yup, she was mine! Near as we could figure, Sarah had got her clothes wet playing in a puddle, and took them off, folded them all and put her shoes on top, then, continued her walk! naked, carrying her shoes and everything in a nice neat pile. I returned home, after circling the block, not finding her, losing my mind, about to call the police, just like anyone would, when my neighbor walks downstairs with the little bug! Then, there's the problem. It was hard not to laugh, hard not to just be relieved, but the good part is she's now 13, still alive(I haven't killed her yet) and she has outgrown her wanderlust. So, if there is a light at the end of the tunnel, he may outgrow it. "It's just a phase!"

Well guys- I am HOME ALONE!!! John started preschool this morning- the bus took him off at about 8:45. He was happy as a lark and ready to go. I am so fortunate he has the same teacher from last year, and many of the same students. He is excited and between his new glasses and new tubes in his ears, I think we will have his best year yet.
I was planning to go to my exercise class this morning, but instead, I am going to loaf about the house. I haven't watched Dr. Phil in months. A real treat- I guess I am a stay at home mom who really takes pleasure in the little things. But I swear I have not been in this house alone since June. Life is good...!
Holly- Are you still around?? I think maybe John sat with Jake today on the bus!

HI Barb it wa very cute I must say.And the kid has been really testing us lately.Jeff found out about her today as he came home late last night and she was half asleep in the car when I picked him up...This morning is quite the other story. Man she did him in.I was in the shower after giving her a bath. She has about 30 minutes till she ghasta get to camp.I say can ya watch em while I take a shower???SURE.Then I get out of the shower and Jeff has a washcloth washing my lipstick off her face arms hair legs everywhere clothes...LOL..he got a dose. Then after camp she started in again. I must say he is the most patient man in the world but hey guess what even Jeff was NOT letting her get away with the stuff she was doing and she kept getting out of time out so he marched that child uopstairs put her jammies on had a talk with her and off to bed she was at 6:45.It'll do her some good to get some extra sleep she was up WAY LATE for her as Jeff didn't get out till 9:30 pm...So I had to share the sweet side of her as she is also so very sweet.Tonight the child as I laid with her for a few minutes in bed and we talked about her new kindergarten coming up next week..Just laid her head on the pillow next to mine and just had this gleam in her eyes and rubbed my cheek real gently and said OH mommy your beautiful. Then closed her eys and went of to la la land with a smile on that face. So sheesh I like the way it ended.
What i really wanted to say is encourage encourage encourage after Alison is done with her cereal adjusting and baby food adjust to add texture to her food. This is farthger down the line but seems like it was only about 7-8 months we started feeding Olivia first we added crumbled up graham crackers to her baby food. That changed the texture a bit. Tiny bits of pancakes but first we did the graham crackers to change the texture then we crubled it up less and less to add an evendifferent texture then started with all the various table foods young. A lot of kids with ds seem to me to have feeding issues so encourage her good eating and LMAO to the rasberries I have a pic of Olivia in a swing chair at about 5 and a half months eating sweet potatoes baby food with orange everywhere and jeff lovingly took one of me after a Liv SWEET POTATOE rasberry.... ((HUGS))) and good luck with your feeding venture.,

Gotta go dh is home and gonna hang out Nighty night..

P.S. My bro is letting ME go with him to his oncology appt tomorrow.I'll explain why I am so shocked tomorrow. The doc wants to talk to chris about their plan of action tomorrow and who else but Mrs. Kravitz(ME) should go. I performed a miracle here tonight. Anyhow he has both lymph nodes innhis groin something going opn.AND he has a pretty good sized tumor on the back behind part of his bladder and they can't see yet if it is near his spine.SO they did a lymph node poke whereby they see if fluid is in there .he limped in here tonight. And they did some BUN kidney something something test. I dunno. Hmmm sure he should have me there??? LOL..Night

Jackie: I remember when Caitlin started middle school like it was yesterday ( it's 2 yrs ago)! She looked so lost and bewildered just searching for a familiar face in the crowd. I know I bawled the whole way home too. Then she came home and told me that none of her friends were in ANY of her classes.... set me off bawling again!!! Needless to say she made a whole new group of friends. It'll be interesting to see how things go with 8th grade this year - we don't start school for another week. Hopefully she'll have at least one buddy in her classes, seems like every year she's had a whole new group of kids to deal with.
Steff: Loved the "rubbing the kisses in" story, made me smile!!! She sure does come out with some funny pearls of wisdom.
Well, Alison has started on cereal this past week and it has been an experience to say the least. I'm not sure who ends up wearing more of it - me or her!!! She just learned how to make raspberries and has now discovered that they are even more fun to do with a mouth full of cereal! I'll tell ya my glasses are the cleanest they've ever been - constantly wiping off
