Howdy Unomaser's!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for the Dynamic duo! I'm still shaking my head in amazement that they are six - seems like just yesterday that they were born - almost 14 weeks too early and weighing each just a smidge over 2 lbs. They've certainly come a long way in 6 years!!!

We had a nice little family b-day part for them. My cousin, her DH and her 3 boys, her brother, and My MIL came over for pizza, salad cake and ice cream (my oven finally kicked the bucket and won't get a new one until tomorrow so I *couldn't* cook - yippee for me!). They were so into opening their gifts this year it was too funny. Each present they opened was greeted with a "Wow", no matter what it was. It was so cute to see them so excited!

Between Christmas and b-day 4 days later, Sam and Patrick, of course, were overindulged! Their two grandma's got them Rugrat's Bike's! Right now they are still riding them but pushing w/their feet. They haven't mastered pedaling yet, probably because the pedals are in a different place from their tricycle. They also got tons of clothes, some new video's (Thomas the tank Engine and Spirit - I'm trying to *break* them of their Barney dependance - LOL!). Oh, and the coolest thing they got was a Fisher Price Great Adventures Magic Castle. It's really neat. It comes w/good Knights and bad Knights. There's little "footprints" near the drawer bridge. You put a good knight in the foot prints and press and you hear clashing of swords, the crowd cheering, trumpets blaring then the drawer bridge opens. When you put a bad knight in there you hear boos and the drawer bridge doesn't open. There's a lion's face above the drawer bridge and two torch thingy's on either side. The lion's eyes flash red or green and the torch's flicker. Plus I got a bunch of the accessories that go with it - a red dragon, a sorcerer, the royal coach and a cyclops. They all make different sounds and open the drawer bridge too. I think I have as much fun playing w/this silly thing as Sam and Patrick do!

I was off of work last week finishing up Christmas shopping. Off this week too taking advantage of after Christmas sales and cleaning out my house to make room for all of it! Most of today was spent trying to weed out the boys closets and toybox! That's when I wasn't hovering in the bathroom because the tornado sirens were going off. We had a scarey day here today in Dallas with lots of severe thunderstorms. Glad it's all overwith!

Jackie D - Your "adult" Christmas sounded wonderful! I'm glad you guys had a good time!
Robin - Yikes - always and adventure at your house! I can soooo relate to the pile of clothes on the floor! I finally had had enough of constantantly folding and putting away (this is evan after DH put drawer locks on all the bureau drawers - that kept the dynamic duo out for about all of 5 minutes!) so, I moved their bureau to the bathroom (thank goodness for big bathrooms!). Now I'm trying to find a lock for bi-fold closet doors! I still keep the kitchen gated off and have doorknob covers on most every door but S&P's bedroom. I'm doomed when they finally figure those things out!!!

Jackie - So sorry to hear about your Dad and your sister! Your family will be in my prayers!
Hey - has anybody heard from/talked to Denise's sisters at all lately? She's been on my mind a lot lately and I've been wondering how Stevie is doing.

Thanks again for wishing my double dumplin's a happy birthday!

Hugs

Judi

Hi everyone!
I gotta vent...My 8 year old has been acting up recently. Not really BAD mind you, but annoying, aggrevating, and just a lot different than he has in the past.
He's saying some things that we all wish he didn't say and acting just plain goofy. Running his mouth till he finally goes too far and gets in big trouble.
He seems to have offended at least one member of my family during Christmas. He's been grounded from all life known to an 8 year old, but somehow he forgets by the next day!
I'm going to post up on the bulletin board, and I'm all ears for suggestions. Help!
Maggie's still coughing, but seems to be getting better slowly.
Her PT was here today. She was really impressed at all the new things Maggie is doing. Me too!
Take care.

ROBIN: SHHHHHHH.....I hadn't mentioned to my DH about the childless Dayton weekend yet!!! And he reads this board faithfully. It does sound fun, and would be a short weekend...after work on Friday night until Sunday afternoon. Let's get Christmas bills behind us and then talk about it. If a movie is in the plans, TRICIA will come!!! LOL That girl sees more movies than Siskel and his buddy.
~
JACKIE: I'm sorry to hear about your dad...and your sister too! Post up about the event with Firedog. Should be a blast!!!
~
One of Emily's gifts for Christmas was an Aaron Carter DVD with videos of each song. You should see her dancing to it.....too cute! Don't tell anyone, but she has two left feet like her mom!
~
JUDI: Post up about the big day for Sam and Patrick!!!

Well guys Dad is back in the hospital,we tried all weekend to get him there, but fortunately my other sis works for dads' doc when she's not working in the er so he called and told him to get his but in the office today. He has a major DVT going on in his good leg so he will be in there 4 days to start on the heparin. My little sis' MRI came back negative, but now my other sister the one with the 5 kids has a mass in her upper thigh ugggggggggh! CALGON. Sorry Robin but the Chase stories did put a much needed little smile on my face but that was after I felt so bad for you. We are praying alot lately and you guys included. Hang in there I know you can do it. You are the best and don't forget it,but here's a BIG HUG coming your way. Well have to go swing by the hospital and then wait for the Dogman and family to get here. At least we will get some much needed family fun time with them as I am looking oh so forward to it. Take care everyone and hug all those little ones for us.

Mornin'

I added some pics today....one of Emily and Marnie "posing" for the camera at Tysons Corner where we ate lunch before going to a Christmas concert at Kennedy Center...and one of all three of us (minus Marnie who had to work) at the Hard Rock.....Emily had decided to eat healthy...a salad supposedly...but when the menu came went with her standard Cheeseburger. She was very excited because we ate next to a guitar signed by Sugar Ray...a singer she knows I like a lot.

Welcome home Jackie and Emily...your adult Christmas sounds like fun right about now. I used to say it wouldnt be Christmas without a bunch of little ones around, but right now.... I could go for some of your adult fun :-) WTG Emily on the Christmas gift for your mom, great gift!Your Christmas Eve sounds so beautiful, my eyes are green with envy, snow included!
Our Christmas was full of wrapping paper, toys, kids and more toys and paper...oh and enough food to feed the entire unomas family :-)
Susan and I are palnning a get away for her and I minus children, ( I cant take anymore, I need a break 0 and she came up with this brilliant idea of meeting in Dayton...and we are also dreaming of a small cruise and kidnapping our friend Annie S to take along with us...shhh, we havent told her that yet :-) I have decided that I deserve it....after all DH has been gone most everyweekend since HUNTING began. ( Grrrr) so it is my turn for a little R&R, and my lovely friend Susan has come up with such a lovely plan, starting with a weekend get away in Dayton, swimming, visiting, eating, swming, visiting, maybe a movie ( one that does NOT have a cartoon in it) maybe a little window shopping, more visiting, staying up late chatting, ahhhh, sounds like heaven, anyone want to join?

Hello Friends...and a very belated Merry Christmas....we just returned from an 8 day fun filled trip to Washington, DC where we celebrated with our second eldest child, Marnie. It was a very different trip from the many we have taken there in the past since Katie and her kids have moved to Texas. In the past most of our time was spent with the kids and at places like Walmart and Toys r Us.....this time (as Emily put it well) we had an Adult Christmas. Marnie was a perfect hostess and tour guide as well....we had a fun evening at Kennedy center with the Washington Chorale, tickets to theatre in the round to see South Pacific, and the beautiful snowy Christmas Eve service at National Cathederal followed by a delicious dinner at a Southern restaurant. Trips to galleries and museums also took up lots of our time...and YES Emily enjoyed them....LOL. She particularly enjoyed seeing the restoration of the "Star Spangled Banner" at the American History Museum. Also she got "suckered" (???) into joining some sort of club at the Hard Rock Cafe that guarantees you a place at the front of any line...and gives you rebates on purchases there....Hard Rocks are at the top of her list whenever we travel. Anyhow it was a perfect trip including our gorgeous White Christmas Eve and Day that melted off nicely in time for our Thursday morning activities!!!!!! Emily was really excited about her holiday purchases for everyone. She even found an over the counter colinder at Crate and Barrel and managed to buy it without my knowledge!!!! She had seen it in a catalog I got before the trip. We arrived home to a yard still totally snowed in....almost a week after it arrived!!!!!.....they promise 60 today so maybe it will go away.

Okay... it is almost noon, I have taken a lovely little pill called atavan ( arent they wonderful:-)
and am much calmer. I am sorry I was whining so bad you guys, I know there are so many people in the world who are struggling to even survive and I whine over a little thing like climbing out windows and running barefoot thru snow :-( And even though I said I didnt ask for this..shame on me, I wouldnt trade my monster boy for all the tea in China ( hhmmm, I dont like tea, let me rephrase that ok?) I wouldnt trade him for all the Mikes hard lemonade in the USA. :-) My sense of humor has returned I guess, no use crying over spilled milk or in this case....locked doors.
hugs to you all, Robin

Please God let my DH come home soon. It is 9 am and I am exhausted. When I tell you what Chase has done...your first instinct will be to LOL but please hole your response til the end so I can have some sympathy here. At the moment I am so disgusted and sad I just cant see the forest for the trees.
He got us up at 7;30, coaxed Zach and I into his room to play....... and LOCKED the freaking door from the OUTSIDE so NONE OF US COULD GET OUT OF HIS ROOM!!!!!!!!
We have his lock on his door turned around so we can lock him in everynight or he gets up and gets into dangerous things or gets OUTSIDE! So there we sit...the three of us stuck in the room and Chase laughing his little head off, just not getting why it is not funny. And for the record, his screens are nailed shut also because he has gotten out his window at night also, sigh.
Soooo, I took a toy car and ripped the screen all the way down and then off :-( Then I had to climb out, which is about the height of me, hurt my most precious parts on the window ledge ( and no Ro, I hada on pj's, not a nightie!) then climbed down into about a foot of snow ( yes Ro, I was barefoot) and then had to run all the way around to the back of the house, fight to get the back gate open thru the snow, yes still barefoot, run to the patio and yank open the back door. Oh man you ugys, my feet burned so bad by then I could hardly stand it. I let the boys out of their room and Chase was still cracking up, so I took him by the arm and put him into time out, set the timer, went to use the bathroom ( cold air does that you know) came out and no Chase. So I went looking for him, know where I found him?? Under his bed hiding from me and I would of never found him had he not sneezed! So by then you would think poor Robin, glad its over right? Oh no.... I made the second mistake leaving him alone again ...he put the PUPPY UP ON MY COUNTER TOP and I came back to find the puppy EATING THE MUFFINS UP ON THE COUNTER and CHASE LOL,... AND CLAPPING HIS HANDS!
I just dont get why he doenst understand why he shouldnt do these things...wil it ever come? Is it the DS or is it the ADHD or what is it??? I am just not dealing well today with this stuff. This is not what I signed up for thank you..no where did I say give me a child that is sure to be the death of me or make me way old before my time. Ok..I am sorry, this is just a really great start to what appears to be a very very lonnnng day.
love to you guys, Robin

Robin M and Deborah: Love and Learning can be done in a variety of ways, but it's easy!! There are the little books that you read to the child every day. You only need to spend about 10 minutes a day on them. It's important to always read them to the child rather than letting the child just hold the books and look at them (mostly because the books aren't the least bit sturdy, but also to make it a fun time that the child looks forward to). There is also a cassette tape that can be played as the child is falling asleep, or in the car, or while you are sitting with them. It has the letters and sounds....really basic stuff. Then, there is the video that has the letters/sounds/and video examples of those sounds and words. Emily always loved the videos. At first it was a bit difficult to hold her attention because she was so much into BARNEY and wanted me to take out the Love and Learning tape and put in a Barney tape. After just a few times, she loved watching the L/L videos. I was amazed at how quickly she picked up on the information!! Not long after we started using the books, we were in a restaurant and I wrote the word UP on the paper placemat in front of Emily. She immediately put both of her arms into the air and said UP!! She was just 3! I've heard many parents of younger children say the same things. I think the reason she loves to read so much now is because she had such a fun time learning it in the beginning. Have fun!!

Hi out there!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas. We did! Went to WV to see dh's family. I'm afraid we brought the crud back with us though. Maggie's sick and coughing like crazy when she lays down. Back on those steroids. Croup is her middle name now!
Other than that, Maggie's doing great. Tornado would be her first name by the way! She's in to everything. She has been seen taking a few moves on her hands and knees this week. She is doing great CLIMBING THE STAIRS!!! Yes, we got out the gate last night. Why those goofy PT's want to teach these children how to climb the stairs is beyond me! LOL She learns quickly.
Maggie got a Love and Learning tape from Tim's mom for Christmas. Somebody tell me how complicated it is to get started. I opened the box and saw lots of "stuff" to do. I haven't had time to get back to it.
Well I better get ready for bed. Will probably be a long night again.
Susan - Write me if you have questions about hearing aides. We live it every day.
Cathy - Love hearing about those first steps! I'm waiting anxiously for Maggie's.
Take care everyone. Happy New Year!

ROBIN... ROTFL.. at Chase's outfit. Stinker Chase and Stinker Gabe DO need to get together as they both find the most bizarre combinations a hoot to dress up in. ALSO.....ROTFLPMP .. at your Mi weather. I know I am not being ONE bit nice.. but LOL.. I hung up laundry today right here in TROPICAL IOWA LOL...50 degrees and sunny... LOL (sorry, it's not nice to teast)
AMY....bless your heart twice just as Robin says. You should be ordered by all powers that be earthly and otherwise to take that day off with Robin. It is not only acceptable.. it is MANDATORY I think. You are both doing good in the world that no one can measure or understand unless they've had a taste of it myself. ALL my postive thoughts going up to both of you...please let them find the wonder drug !!

I just talked to Radonna. She had a good Christmas, and it sounded like the the boys had a GREAT one!!! Kaden received a LOT of cool toys.....Scooby Doo toys, (One that is almost as tall as Kaden!) a Spiderman toy that has light up eyes, and a new puppy. But Radonna said he loved the bows on all the presents more than anything! He got one toy that he has to push a button to get it to light up....he loves the light up portion, but hates having to push the button. So, he brought her the toy and some TAPE for her to tape the button down and keep it lit up all the time! What a smart little cookie! She goes to the doc on Monday to get the results of all the tests they did after she lost the baby. She said to tell everyone who sent Christmas cards to her "Thank you VERY much"!!!!!!She said the notes everyone wrote were SO nice, and she loved all the pictures. She said the mail delivery woman asked her husband if they knew people from all over the US....she was amazed!
I'll sure be glad when Radonna is back online!!!

Okay...I got three rooms cleaned while they trashed two more...so I am one room up on them at the moment. And I came up with a brilliant idea.... I took all of the clothes out of his room that are for summer and spring...less mess for me to clean up when he pulls his little ritual and I also put up a shelf with six hooks on it, cross your fingers it stays in his wall.
Dolly...I LOVE your idea about one day for me! Does that really mean one whole day or a half or what? Cause friend dearest...I am doing it!!!!! ( and wont Dave have a cow hehehe) BTW..I think you should move to michigan so we can have that tea..I usually drink mine in a slush with alchohol, LOLOLOL ( kidding, it is just a new recipe I found for Christmas drinks involving tea and a bunch of other stuff that you freeze:-)but if you want yours warm, we can melt the sucker in the microwave :-) LOLOLOL!Hugs bud
Amy....Trevor is NOT ON meds right now? Bless your little heart twice!!!!! I could seriously not be able to handle Chase without the meds, even the hospital couldnt, it took them three people til he was on something. I have to tell you we had GREAT success at U of M in Ann Arbor if you live anywhere near that area.
It is in Michigan. I am sure most states have great college hospitals with great pych units dont they? Ours did a whole run thru Chase and he is on new meds and doing so great for the most part, except he would be doing better if he could wear some of this energy off so tomorrow first thing, I am bundling them up and one at a time..tossing their butts right out that back door :-) with orders not to come back in til mom calls. LOLOL, think it will work??? Naw, me either, darn!
Ok time to try to get them in the tub, Chase is a stinky little bug tonight :-)
hugs, Robin
PS Suzi..... I am afraid for dave and Mike to meet, we'd for sure never see either of them again!!!! LOL, hugs!

Hi Robin, Just wanted to respond back to yourquestions about Trevor. He Was diagnosed with ADHD at age 4. He has taken many meds. but they either havn't worked or made him worse. I hated myself for making him a zombie or making him feel like crud or making him freak out. My sonis 12 now and will be 13 in April. He too is always in fantisy land. We are always telling him to come back to reality. I guess he's just comfortable being in his own little world. He has no other problems than the ADHD so I guess I'm lucky. I have two other kids that have special needs as well. I also have a son named Chase and my youngest is Nathan. Chase is 11 and Nathan is 7. Chase has been diagnosed with ADHD, (but he's nothing like Trevor so I don't think he has that) severe anxiety, PTSD, bed wetting, learning dissabled and who knows what else. Nathan is mildly retarded due to shaken baby syndrome, learning dissabled, PTSD, attachment dissorder, abandonment dissorder and I think he also has ODD. Just to let you know that I'm not the bad guy here all my kids have been adopted by my husband and I. Trevor was 5 days old when we got him. Chase was adopted in July 2002 and Nathan in Febuary 2000. I'm still looking for another one, but I would like a girl.
I would also like one without special needs but we'll see. All my kids are wonderfull, but it is very hard for me at times. I think I am numb to allot of the issues in our home so many of the things that would bother others don't bother me. I do have my moments though. Trevor is on no meds. now, but he needs something for his attention span. I am still looking for that wonder pill. LOL. Chase is on imipramine for his severe anxiety and bed wetting and I am thinking of trying him on a new med called Trileptal. Nathan is on Celexa for his issues and it seems to be working 50% of the time and I may also try him on the Trileptal. Chase and Nathan both have agression problems and Nathan will try to hurt himself at times.
Well, Thanks for responding to my post and for welcoming me. Excuse the spelling and the length of my post. Hope evryone had a great Christmas and you all have a happy new year. Amy

Hey, I hate to tell you Robin & Susan but I coulda got a truck load of those maps at 50% off the markdown last week when the big toy store in our mall was going outta business...I didn't buy any becaus Matt has 2 map books for his Leap Pad that do the same stuff.
I hafta upload some pics too....talk about bad mommy, I found a couple rolls of film & took them to WM yesterday....Christmas pics....but from 2 YEARS AGO!!! Sam was 1 !!!
I really think we need to get Dave & Mike together....Mike went & hid at the garage most of Christmas as he "felt sick & didn't want anyone else to catch it" we had ice then snow & I still have a 1/2" of ice on the deck that won't melt.We managed to chip it off the sidewalk yesterday. I had to get home in 4x4..but it was fun with the Durango!
Merideth has a nasty cold, so she's on Zythromax & Robitussin. She sounded the worst I've ever heard her yesterday afternoon & I was really scared.
Oh, the second roll of film was from 4th of July & has some cute shots of her in her splash pool...gotta upload those.Suprisingly she & Sam have been playing together really well the last few days...the talking grill, velcro veggies , ball blast & play doh are their big hits along with chasing around the mini r/c cars the boys got. She's also in love with one of those all white Eeyores her grandparents got in the Disney store.

Robin,
I read your post...whoa...you are being way too hard on yourself! Everyone feels overwhelmed once in awhile. Sometimes its all I can do to keep my sanity! Last week
Eric had his early intervention Christmas Party...a nice luncheon for the parents and kids at a lovely restaurant. Was really looking forward to meeting other moms in the program. I got Eric all dressed up in his Christmas outfit, fixed myself up, and drove about 45 minutes to the party. When we got there, I struggled to get him into the room...he's not walking, but I couldn't let him crawl around...too many people.
I sat him on my lap, and he was arching his back and
squirming so much I could hardly hold him. Then he knocked all the silver ware off the table. Finally, he
just started "screaming and Crying". I had to pack up and leave..we had been there all of 10 min. I had just gotten his coat off.. Well, as I headed back to the car, I just started sobbing...I felt so frustrated and tired. I'm noted to be a pretty tuff cookie...you know,
stiff upper lip and all, but this time it really got to me. I just went home. My hubby isn't out of town alot, but he owns his own business and works 24-7.
That adds to the pressure. So I can definetly
relate...My New Year Resolution is to take one day a week for myself...do whatever I want and Dad will just have to handle things..and hopefully I won't feel guilty. Its not much, but I need it. So don't be so hard on yourself...we all need a little TLC for US!
Wished you lived closer...we could have a lovely cup of
green tea and let the kids run wild!! Ha Ha.
Hang in there..Dolly

Good Morning Unomasers... I am among the living again! It was a fun but very tiring Holiday. Its not that we had a ton of people... but I did have to cook for both Xmas Eve and Xmas Day!... Homemade gnocchis for Tues and another Turkey Dinner with all the fixings on Wed. It was great and the girls enjoyed all their presents! But I did get the Bestest (and I know that is not really a word..but it explains how I feel) gift of all! Katie is now officially a walker! WTG my little angel.

Robin, my friend, I really feel horrible that you are having more more snow! NOT! LOL... you must now promise to leave me and UP alone. We are having a heatwave here! I also am very sorry that you are alone for the weekend. Wish I could come down there and helo you out! Actually... I just want to sit and have a Mike's Hard Lemonade and veg with you! But my thoughts and prayers are with you and all the Humbles!

Susan: Welcome back! I have certaintly missed you! Glad to hear your holidays were so nice. Sounds like the kids have become snow bunnies! See things here in MI are aren't all that bad, and just think...you could see us all so much more!

Well gotta go and clean up all the toys again! Do kids ever learn to clean up after themselves. It could be worse they could be men... they are worse!

Hugs to you all! Have a great weekend! and hope to see you all in Chat tomorrow!

Cathy

As I sit here feeling very sorry for myself because it is me and the kids alone this weekend, I have to wonder....how do those of you with DH's that go away for extended periods of time do it??? Maybe it is that Chase is so much harder to handle or it is that I am a crummy mommy and cant do it alone. In any case as I sit here with the snow falling and blizzarding ( is there really such a word?:-) down around us at an incredible rate...I need to know..... will Chase EVER stop taking the clothes out of his drawers and off the hangers???? Grrrrrrrrr! I now have this HUGE pile of clothes waiting to be folded back up and/or hung back up! I'd like to hang him up on a hanger! He does thia STILL about every month or so and he is TEN years old...when will it quit? And no matter what I do or say..he wil not pick them up and help to put them away.
Sighhh, but then I ned to remember there are children in other countries without clothes and stop fussing right? ( although right about now I'd like to send them these clothes and teach this bad boy a thing or two) Btw...you need to know how he is dressed today...
unders, summer pj bottoms, BLACK pantie hose over the above and a cowboy vest..he is a looker! Wow, he sure keeps me from being bored :-)
love to all, sorry I needed to whine,
Robin

Good morning Uno Mas!!!! I had to work yesterday, and after only one day I'm already wanting another vacation!!! We admitted FOUR new patients in one short afternoon, while I was busy trying to catch up on the work I missed while I was in Michigan. I am going to work New Year's Day and take off the 2nd. Emily FINALLY has her ENT appointment at the DS Clinic to retest her hearing. I feel like a lousy mom on this one.......in April they told us that she had nerve hearing loss and might need a hearing aide. I was shocked, and honestly did not believe them. She seems to hear just fine! (Ok....she sometimes has "selective hearing" just like her Dad, but most times she hears great!). I reluctantly scheduled an appointment with the ENT on July 1st, but then decided to cancel it. When I called back to reschedule it, they said the first available appointment was January 2nd! Now, I'm worrying that IF she really has hearing loss that it has impaired her speech and I am kicking myself for not getting her to see the doc MONTHS ago! Anyway....we go on the 2nd, and that day is also Justin's 15th birthday so we'll do some celebrating in Nashville. I'm praying that her hearing is FINE, and that she will not need a hearing aide or a microphone for the teacher either.
~
I wanted to mention in my late night post the other night after our trip.......all the way from here to Michigan, I thought about Uno Mas. As we went through Ohio, I kept saying "we could just get off here and see Theresa and her family" or...."About 2 hours east of here is where Alice lives" (LOL I had no idea she was on a cruise!!!). I would have loved to have seen Chris/Jackie/Holly/and Cathy in Michigan!!! And Sid...we went right by your exit too. We have to meet you this summer! I'm already getting excited about another Uno Mas get together this summer!
~
ROBIN: I found the USA map at Toys R Us. It's made by Scholastic toys and is GREAT! It is also a puzzle....and Emily LOVES that! When you press down on each state, it says for example "TENNESSEE, the Volunteer State. State Capital Nashville". There is a flag on one end and you hear the pledge of allegiance if you press it. On the other end is the statue of Liberty and you hear America the Beautiful if you press it. There is a storage drawer to put all the puzzle pieces too. Great toy for $19.99!
~
AMY: Welcome to Uno Mas!!! I hope you'll post often. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and Trevor. Let us know about the Strattera. My 14 year old son takes Concerta. It works well for him, but I'd love something that is NOT a stimulant! He took Ritalin for years and was so so so underweight, but has gained quite a bit since he changed to Concerta. Anyway....Glad you're here!!
~
LINDA: Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas! LOL King of the Jewels!! Priceless!
~
SID: Get well soon Girl! I hope you have a quick recovery, and can chat again soon.
~
JOAN: So sorry I missed little Zoe's birthday! Happy belated birthday to her!
~
ALLISON: Did I hear that you also had a birthday around Christmas? Hope it was a happy one!
~
KATI: (Sarah Beth's Mom) Welcome to Uno Mas! I loved your Christmas letter. I hope you will post here often. There are literally HUNDREDS of parents who read here and support each of us each day. It is just like a 2nd family to me!!
~
JACKIE: I just read about your sister's tests...do you have results yet? I'm praying it is not a tumor. Please keep us posted.
~
ANNIE: I'm so impressed! I ended up not getting ANY holiday baking done! LOL to Sonny Potter.....too cute!!!
~
CATHY: I can't tell you how much I hated being in YOUR state and not being able to see you and the girls! It's funny cause every time we went outside and it was so cold, I would think "how does Cathy stand this cold weather"?????? Then I find out you were snowless!! WAY TO GO Katie.....she is definitely walking! Can't wait to SEE it!
~
STEFF: So sorry to hear about Jeff's Gramma. Jordan loves Liv too....He's growing up too fast for me. I'll have to send her a new picture of him....she will not recognize the boy!
~
Kathy P's(Kasgreen from chat) daughter Sarah (12) had foot surgery on both feet around Christmas. It went really well and Sarah charmed all the docs and nurses. She is home now and hating the bandages and funny shoes she has to wear. Hopefully, she will be able to walk pain free now!!! I'm counting the months till her family is back in Tennessee where they belong!
~
MARIA: Did you ever get to talk to Radonna? I haven't talked to her in over a week....seems like even longer! As we were traveling, Emily kept asking me WHY we were not going to see you and Gabby and Steven. I sure wish it had been possible! How was your Christmas????
~
CONNIE: I know your computer is broken, and you'll probably not be able to read this, but.....I sure do miss you!!!!! Hugs to you and the family!
~
Ok....Emily is begging for oatmeal. I'm afraid if I don't fix it NOW, she will do it herself. She has been known to put a can of chicken and dumplings in the microwave and hit the "popcorn" button. Scared the daylights out of her and me! Have a GREAT weekend everyone.

Morning all;
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We still have plenty of snow here in Ohio...does anybody want any?
Now that Christmas is over, we are more than willing to share..
Why do people ALWAYS get noisy presents for kids other
than their own? Almost everything Eric got either sings, makes music, roars, or talks. I'm sure the stimulation is great for him, but his ole momma is on her last nerve...time to get out the books!
We had a party at our house on Dec. 23 for all our
neighbors and their kids. Santa made a "surprise" appearance with presents for all..it was soooo much fun! The kids loved it..we got a great video of each child up on Santa's lap..I think even the "older, unbelievers" weren't quite sure that this guy really wasn't Santa. Eric sat on his lap for about 3 seconds...but he still was cute!
I'm gonna try and clean up today...or at least attempt it. We had company all week, so gotta get back in the swing of things. But I got extra energy today..
I actually got to sleep "in" till 7:45am. YEAH!
Talk to ya all later...Dolly

AMY HI!!! I think Strattera is not available till next month!!! Ask your doc though so that they can look up some info on it. I went to a GOOGLE search and looked up Strattera and got lotsa info.. Too much to pass on but go right ahead and type the med strattera in your search engine. Sounds REALLY promising.. Robin maybe Chase may gain a bit of weight...
