Hey All! Just checking
in from WDW -- thanks for all the good wishes for a great time -- a littl
eprayer needed for my oldest who has a raging URI but is trying to hang
out --- we started her on antibiotics today that our DR prescribed us
for "just in case"! We are hoping that takes care of it &
that we don't need to visit a walkin clinic -- we ARE TRYING to keep our
expenses down - but being here it isn't easy! Can you say UP THE PRICES
for the TOURISTS 10 times really fast??! We are having FUN tho - went
to Epcot yesterday -- it was great AND we did use the Guest Services pass
w/ Adam to get on rides faster -- some you can't use them on -- but we
sis manage to slide right on won a couple of rides really FAST and it
was well worth it -- although my girls complained that it was UNFAIR &
we should WAIT --- (Prob would've been about an 1 & 1/2 for most rides)
even w/ that we only managed to go on about 4 rides -- Adam was just taking
in EVERYTHING & he LOVEDthe Underwater world there -- We saw NEMO
& DORY!!! OK - people waiting to get on here - but wanted to wish
all a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR UNO FRIENDS!!! incase i don't get
back here tonight cuz we're caught in the Disney Magic!!
Annie -- I hope you have a GREAT time In Hawaii -- & I hope you have
better luck getting Sonny to do his HW better than we are having Adam
do his!
Hugs to all!

Happy Birthday to
Sam & Patrick!!!
Hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. We had a great Christmas here.
Alison's favorite thing was all the wrapping and tissue paper! She had
a ball just crunching it all up - Santa here could have saved a bundle
and just gotton that for her!!! DH did NOT take the oh-so-subtle hint
I gave him about the Las Vegas weekend being exactly what Santa should
bring me but I haven't given up hope!!! I did finally get a digital camera
and am still trying to figure that out. My in-laws surprised DH and I
with a weekend in Toronto and tickets for Lion King and a hockey game
this past weekend. It was SO good to get away from the kids!!! However
coming home from Canada proved to be an adventure to say the very least!!!!
I couldn't get in to the US Sunday and ended up having to stay in Fort
Erie Canada until Monday morning! Somehow I managed to only grab my German
birth certificate and not my State Department report of a US Citizen born
abroad ( My Dad was in the Air Force when I was born in Germany ) With
the really tightened security at the borders with the elevated terrorist
watch it took us 3 hours to get to Customs, only have me turned back to
Canada!!! Given that it was Sunday there was nothing I could do. DH headed
across the mighty Niagara River home to find the paperwork I needed but
then had trouble finding it (hmmm..... no great surprise there! Since
it didn't jump up and bite him on the butt he couldn't find it!!!). Monday
morning I ended up calling the US Consolate in Toronto to have them get
a copy of the paperwork and then fax it to Customs down here at the Peace
Bridge (crosses the Niagara River between Fort Erie, Canada and Buffalo,
NY). FINALLY at about 3:45 Monday afternoon I was able to cross over!!!Talk
about a hassle!!! But then again it was my own fault for not double checking
that I had everything that I would need to come back home!!! For a while
there I thought I would have to end all my sentences with "EH?"!!!
Needless to say I will be much more careful the next time we go over to
Canada, I just might have learned a lesson here!!! Of course I did enjoy
the night all by myself in Fort Erie too, I got to watch the TV shows
I wanted to watch without kids interrupting or DH channel surfing at every
commercial break and BEST of all, I got to sleep past 7am!!!! So there
really was a silver lining to that cloud!
ANNIE: Have a wonderful trip to Hawaii!!! Boy am I green with envy here.....
although it hasn't been to bad weatherwise here (YET!!!) I could really
use some sea, sand and sun about now!!!
LINDA THE SNOWBIRD: Hope you guys are really enjoy Disney! Again.... green
with envy!!! But the weather hasn't been too bad this week here in WNY!
CINDY: LOL.... we must have gotton our older girls the same karaoke tape
as you guys got.... I also had my 7 year old asking about "she's
a brick house". I just about fell over... doesn't it figure these
kids pick up on that one particular phrase!!???!!
Okay, rambled on far too long here, gotta go get some shuteye! Hope everyone
has a Happy New Year!!!

Sam & Patrick
say "thanks y'all" for the birthday wishes! We had a big birthday
dinner bash Sunday night w/all the grandparents & Mikes brother &
his family. We also celebrated their cousin Josie's 1st birthday (Christmas
day!). The boys were spoiled rotten, of course w/more clothes, a Thomas
The Tank Engine playtable, more Thomas trains and I think their favorite
gift - Bob the Builder sneakers (that I picked up on clearance at Target!!!).
All I can say is I can't believe my double dumplin's are 7! I can't believe
they are this old - where does the time go! (I, of course, have not aged
one bit - LOLOLOL!).
7 years ago yesterday, after being in the hospital since 10:30am that
morning and trying three different drugs to stop my labor that I awoke
to horrible contractions and found myself being whisked off to the OB
OR. The nurses threw scrubs @ Mike saying "put these on and get in
here". He literally stripped in the hallway!
I was 26 weeks, 4 days along in my pregnancy. My OB told me typically
twins came 2-4 weeks early. This was not supposed to be happening nearly
14 weeks early!
Sam Edward entered the world at 6:39pm without a peep (I was convinced
everybody was lying to me about him being alive because I never heard
him make a sound) he weighed in at a whopping 2.7lbs. Patrick, ever so
stubborn, wasn't quite as anxious to be born as his brother and tried
w/all his might to "stay put" inside of me, fighting the doctor's
attempts at turning him into proper birthing position. Finally "third
time's a charm" he stayed in position only to find out his cord was
across his head. Patrick Michael entered the world via c-section w/a tiny
sqeak 34 minutes later at 7:13, weighing in at a whopping 2.3lbs.
It was a long complicated journey, but they did finally get to leave the
NICU (I had visions of them graduating high school in there!) and here
we are today, 7 years later celebrating what started out as being the
worst day of my life, yet ultimately turned out to be the very best day
of my life! And what a wild ride it's been.
It may be S&P's birthday yesterday, but Mike and I are the one's who
got the best present ever. We must have done something right in our lives
to be so doubley blessed.
Thanks again for thinking of them today!

Emily....I sent you
the following as a private email...but thought I would go ahead and post
it. I wasn't quite sure what you meant by..."cooperate with your
child"...but here is how I interpreted it.
Emily....I have a daughter named Emily who is 23 and has DS. I assume
you are writing a school report. My comment to you is...that no more patience
is needed with a child with DS than any other child. Raising any child
these days can be frustrating. I lose my temper with Emily the same amount
that I did with her three older siblings. It doesnt take a saint to raise
a child with a disability. I imagine if you talked to a thousand moms
of kids with disabilities....they would agree that they have not been
given any more than they can handle...meaning...most parents of children
rise to the occasion...no matter what that might be. Hope this helps.
Of course, sites like this let people vent and share and that helps greatly...so
maybe a good answer for you would be ...that seeking out appropriate support
systems is the best way. Good Luck...hope you make an A
Jackie...mom to Em 23 in Texas

Down Syndrome
I am putting my comments on the message board about Down Syndrome because
i need some help with this topic. And i hope that someone that has a child
with down syndrome can help me with my correct information. The information
that i really need is: How do you as an adult have the patience to cooperate
with your child? If this is an unappropriate question you may send me
some better information to put toward my report.
Thank You for all of your help!!!

Annie, you first...have
I forgotten to say how EXTREMELY envious I am and how happy I am you get
to go to my dream place in the world???? Please take LOTS of pics so that
when we meet in Cinn again you can bring them ok???? It is my dream to
go there, take tours to see the beauty, lay on the beach, swim, drink
those little umbrella drinks while doing said activities, eat and be waited
on hand and foot, opps, and OF COURSE be a part of a real luau. Hugs to
you my friend, have a safe and wonderful trip and can I borrow one of
your daughters to watch Chase so that if and when Dave gets back to work
I can go...yes even I would fly for that!!!!
LOLOL Susan Louise!!! I am quite sure Chase does tell you how good he
is.....HOWEVER would you like to hear about today's little fiascos? How
about how he tore the blinds right off the windows and broke them, or
perhaps you might want me to share with you how he FINGER PAINTED with
material fresh out of the toilet??? We left him with a new person we are
trying out... OMG... and came home to a very trashed house and him afraid
to take his hand off his behind for fear we would spank him as she told
us what he did.
I think I give up. Sooo, who would like this child for say a year or two????
Susan didnt you say you have several days off? I could bus him to you,
this good boy of mine :-)
Linda, you lucky dog, New years eve at Disney! I hope the weather is great
for you and Ralph feels better!!! It is another of my dream vacations
if Chase ever straightens up and acts right!
Ok time for dinner, dont ask cause I dont know what I am making yet,but
I gaurantee you it wont be brown!!!

Ohhhhh LINDA you
lucky guys you :-D We spent Christmas at Disney 2 years ago and just had
a BLAST. You are soooo smart not to try and do it all in on week OMG we
have been there twice and have yet to do it all ;-D
Fireworks are GREAT at Disney Park but try if you can to get to the firework
display at Epcot just the most wonderful show I have seen right over the
water. Epcot we did in a day, was not one of my most favorites but I know
people do enjoy it there. Sooo many great places to taste foods from all
over the world. I think we ate dinner in the Canadian part, food was GREAT.
Epcot also has a very cool parade, if you get a chance to see that, well
worth it I believe.
Chris enjoyed the Animal Kingdom also, especially the rides ;-D
Once you have seen the parade at the Magic Kingdom, they have them the
same time everyday, that would be a good time to go on some of the most
popular rides. Much shorter lines then :-D
Disney is always adding on things soooo I am sure things have changed
in just the last 2 years since I have been there. ENYOY ENJOY ENJOY and
I am sure New Year's Eve in Disney will be the BEST ever. Ohhhh you have
me sooo much wanting to go again.
Have a safe trip home girl.
HAPPY "2004" EVERYBODY ...

Hey Hey Uno Friends!
We hope everyone had a VERY Merry Christmas! Don't have time now to read
posts -- BUT RIGHT NOW we are "Snow Birds" -- that's what we
call people who travel from NY down to Florida -- just for a week tho
-- we surprized our kids GOOD this year by telling them Christmas Day
that we were leaving on Sat to go to Walt Dis World for a week -- we drove
down -- stayedd overnite in W Va -- took us ~24 drive time cuz poor DH
ghas been battling a cold /URI since before Christmas -- Sooooo -- anyone
wanna meet us down here???! I don't know if I am prepared for the rigors
of all the walking at WDW - but we are planning on NOT seeing it all so
we can enjoy ourelves w/out (hopefully) total over-exhaustion.....
Jackie - just read your post -- sounds like your Christams was PERFECT!!!
And I DO LOVE the name of the song -- sounds like a top 10 winner to me!
:)
OK - gotta scoot but wanted to say HI from FLORIDA! They have free Internet
access here at the hotel so I hope to be able to check in again -- we
are here til this Sun -- I am looking forward to the fireworks here at
WDW -- we are staying just outside of the park....Inside is soooooo much
priceyer (sp?) -- We rolled in at 1 the morn - so now today we are just
chilling at the hotel & taking in the sites....
If anyone has any expert advice on WDW or Epcot - etc. would LOVE to hear

if you all don't gab too much! :)
OK - gotta scoot - Natives are getting restless!!

As many of you know....our
whole family gathered in the Hill country of Texas ...near Austin...Wimberly
to be exact...at a quaint mini farm on 12 acres called...THE TOENAIL MOON...A
CREEK RUNS THROUGH IT. There for six days we were once again a complete
family...something that doesnt happen that often in our life anymore.
Ed and I got to be both Mom and Dad...and Granparents Bubba and JJ as
well!!!!
Emily had a ball being the beloved Auntie Em and wrote the most wonderful
Christmas pagent for us all ....ever....( I will post about this later
on the BB...never fear).
We had a marvelous time feeding the goats...gathering eggs from the chickens...and
giving hay to the horses and donkeys...and the wild mustang the owners
have adopted. Second oldest daughter Marnie and her friend even gamely
occupied the "restored" airstream on the property that handles
guest overflow...LOL.
We really enjoyed being "country people"....packed in as we
were...with presents from Santa stored in the Tack Room of the barn....
Santas sleigh bells heard ringing as we were all hot tubbing down by the
creek Christmas Eve...It couldnt have been more perfect if we tried....and
everyone is also now home safe and sound. I am thinking of trying on a
songwriters hat...cuz "Christmas at the Toenail Moon" has such
a nice ring to it....LOL....say ..on the Dixie Chicks first Christmas
Album???? Willie Nelson?????? Alabama???????

STEFF: Today's the day.....I'm officially reminding you to call your friend
about hotel reservations in Vegas. Now, how about tickets to see Celine????

~
There is a tiny little discrepancy here.....I've called Robin several
times in the past few weeks. Chase has answered the phone every single
time, and each time I've asked him specifically if he's being a good boy.
Well...each time, he has told me emphatically that he is DEFINITELY being
a good boy. So, lol I'm guessing it's DAVE causing the trouble at Robin's
house and just blaming it on Chase. I have to tell you......he (Chase,
not Dave) speaks SO clearly on the phone. He is one sharp kid. As soon
as he hears my voice, he immediately begins to ask to speak to every member
of my family. We saw him a few days after Thanksgiving, and he has gained
weight which looks GOOD on him!! I'm glad he had a great Christmas, Robin.

Hey!! Hope everyone
had a Merry Christmas or is having a Happy Kwanzaa or Chanukah.
HELP!! I know I'm not around much, and I haven't really gotten to know
you all as well as I should. My new 6 month old is teething, or spoiled,
or both, I dunno. He's crawling all over the house, following me, screaming
for attention. So needless to say, Posting doesn't happen frequently.
I apoligize.
Anyhow, I have a question about TEETH again. Kayla-Potayta's Cuspids haven't
come in yet. (The fang teeth... are they called cuspids? Forgive me if
I got that wrong.) She's 3, just turned 3 in September. Should I be worried?
She goes to the dentist regularly, and he said not to worry, they are
not impacted and they will come in soon. That was 6 months ago. She has
another appointment in January. I wonder what he will say this time. Have
any of you experienced this?? HELP!!!
Love, Nikky.
p.s. You may want to email me, cuz, well, you know. I hope to be back
to posting more often, SOON!!

Hello uno land,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Sounds like Steff and Barb
had the best, with a healthy Livvie finally and a sitting up Allison baby!!!
I am with Susan, down came the tree today and all the decorations and
I cleaned the kitchen and living room top to bottom, now to weed thru
this mess I call a bedroom tomorrow, ugh.
Chase had a great Christmas, said he got everything he wanted, he is so
easy to please, that boy is :-)
However his ADHD has decided to be as awful as it can be and the child
is bouncing off the walls, ceiling and anything else he can find. He also
LOVES to wrestle with Zach who does NOT love to wrestle with him. My DH
who is still laid off had the nerve to say he will be so glad when I am
back to work and the boys to school so he can have some peae and quiet!!!
This child of ours is helll on wheels right now. He is doing threeor four
thing at a time, yikes, wearing us out, I never saw a child watch TV,
listen to his stereo and sing along to karoke and dane all at the same
time, with an open book he is reading in between at the same time.
AiLay, I cannot believe your baby is 2!!!
And I too, like Steff still dont have my cards sent out so orgive me that
they are late and just consider them New years cards:-) I feel like I
never have a second to myself to get anything done, I think I am going
to try to bribe Dave into taking the boys up north for a day or so, just
so I can get a good book, kick back and spend the whole day in bed doing
NOTHING but readin, watching tv and maybe playing free cell :=)
Huggers to you all, Robin

Belated Merry Christmas
to all!
AiLay! Nice to see you post.
I haven't been on much-little Sam keeps me hoping and then the girls are
home for Christmas break so we're just always busy.
We got the girls a Karoeke machine for Christmas..they've been having
a great time with it..though I need to find them some different cd's -
I purchased a country hits and party cd's and now they want to know what
does "she's a Brick House" mean?? LOL All the cousins and aunts
and uncles had fun with it on Christmas day...singing Toby Keiths I'm
just talking 'bout tonight and God Bless the USA. etc..
How was everyones Christmas?
I ended up at the DOCTORS on Christmas eve-Kaylee with and Ear infection
and Emma with a hard swollen right breast (remember, she's only 7) that
totally freaked me out when she showed me (on Christmas eve) and said
that it has been hurting her for "quite awhile". The doc said
not to be concerned-it's not unusual - that kids come in with that - and
it's generally on the right side and that it's just a cyst. You guys ever
hear of that?
gotta run..
steff-glad liv is okay..

Hello; Hope everyone
had a great Christmas! We had a very good one. We got both of the grandbabies
4wheelers because they both seem to love them, they love watching motorcycles
and 4wheeler shows, I think it is because both of the daddies have them..
When Christopher watches the show he acts like he is riding and then starts
signing and saying DaDa , he really gets excited...But guess what he won't
even try out his 4wheeler he will sit on it side saddle and pretend he
is riding so I know he will get up the nerve to get on it sooner or later..Matthew
gets on his and runs in into the walls and spinns the wheels...
Christopher is doing really well he is really trying to talk more ,he
stay with his other grandparents one evening while my daughter and I went
shopping and when we pick him up his papaw was walking away from the van
and Christopher said out of the blue bye bye papaw and it was joy to my
ears...he is saying chool for school and it is so cute..he has also went
to the potty by himself a few time here latley but he thinks he has to
take off all his clothes...But other than that I think he is starting
to get the hang of it...He is really getting to be a big boy I am hopeing
he will be pottie trained by 4 ....the teacher said he does really good
in school...But he has missed a lot of school this last month not that
he has been sick my daughter is just so afraid that he will catch the
flu at school...She has kept him in a lot this month no trips to walmart
which made it hard to get the shopping done but we managed...Well got
to get off her and get ready for church...bye bye

Hi everyone,
Just want to post to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to Casey.
Thank you again Michelle for this great site. It's been 5 years since
I first chanced upon this site and I gained tremendous support from the
people here. I'm glad to see Doris' post, it's been a long time "old"
friend.......remember those ICQ days....
Things are pretty busy for me with my bunch. I don't have much time on
the computer. Shuxin is doing pretty well, she attends regular kindergarten
for 2 hours in the morning then she goes to special school in the afternoon.
She is like a class monitress for a class of 5 kids in the special school.
She takes charge of the class when the teacher has to run some errands
and she collects the class register for the teacher before the class starts.
BTW for people who don't know me, we're the family from Singapore. I used
to be a 'regular' in Unomas. Just can't find the time anymore.
Hope everyone's feeling good and our kids healthy for the coming year.

I swear last post
I posted this on the BB but thought I would add it here...
HI I musta forgot this earlier this year but Olivias OT gave me a fabulous
tip that has worked wonders for my girl.
WELL when sitting at her chair(and at home doing HM) she told me to make
sure her feet were planted FIRMLY on the ground.NO DANGLING FEET!!!! WELL
was she right on target!!! man oh man.Its like a miracle worker.EVEN when
I want Liv to really listen to what I am saying if I sit her in her chair
that is "JUST RIGHT" she will listen more and attend to whatever
she is doing.Really weird eh? I am ASS-uming that its cuz she feels comfortable
and stable making it easier to pay attention.Anyone else experience this?
Anyone know why this is?ALSO when doing her HW at home I clip it to a
BIG binder so its like a slantboard. When I started doing this her name
writing began.Coincidence? Who knows but it works so well for us...Jackie
the EX OT any reasone why this is ?Just curious kravitz here .GOODNIGHT

HI...alrighty then
you guys.I SWEAR all my Christmas cards are going out by the latest on
MONDAY!!!LMAO...My puter printer broke Kinkos couldn't do what I wanted
so I printed out pics did 15 cards with pics and the rest I made the cards
by hand and taped the photo on it.LOL.SO...better late than never.SOORRY
but you will get em.My wall is covered with cards and they are sooo beautiful.Made
my day every single day to go to the mailbox and see all our BEAUTIFUL
kiddos.CYBERSLAP to steff but you will get em most likely I won't be able
to mail em till Monday.TAMMY sheesh getting your card to NZ should be
well about what a week or so SORRY girl.
MR.CASEY MC...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.The picture.... you are WAY grown
up now/LOL Michelle you are just like me.I NEVER have my photo along with
my kids pics.At least not sent out.LOL...Give that young man a HANDSHAKE
from Steff here...
Christmas eve was a blast at the dysfunctional Lipton-Conger family Christmas
party...LMAO.ACTUALLy it was the best ever and LIV was amazing. She had
the best time. She was nervous at first cause of all the people but I told
em just say HI quietly and she will bloom soon.AND she did and talked
to everyone there.WROTE her name for all to see.She does it now so well.My
mom was shocked!!!I guess I forgot to tell her..OOPS.Kyle and I got the
stomach thing that night.Kyle puked all over my moms room and floor so
we went home early. Then I started but it is only less than a 24 hr thing
and we both are great now.Olivia got the COOLEST thing.I remember someone
mentioning it on the BB.BUT it's by leap frog and they are magnetic fridge
letters that when you take em off and put em in this little thing(its
easy to put in even for my Liv who has a hard time with fine motor)it
says the letter and sings a song(very good for liv who learns everything
thru music) It'll say..."B".... then it sings "B says BUH
B says BUH every letter has a sound and B says BUH." Some of them
have more than 1 sound and they incorporate it into the song.Liv has learned
a few of the letters sounds already.COOL HUH???? BUT Liv has ALWAYS loved
refrigerator magnets. We still do the sight reading with the real life
pictures by which she has about 50 words now but this is nice.
WELL Kyles best bud has been here since 9 am and is spending the night
so all 3 of the kids are(well liv is sleeping now) watching DADDY DAY
CARE on PPV.THANK GOD this day is over LOL goodnight ...BYE

Happy day after Christmas
to all! ! !
~
I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday. We had a great time. Emily was
SO polite and sweet about every single gift she got. She must have said
"This is the best Christmas EVER" 10 times!!! She also said
"Mom, Dad.....you ROCK"! I think that means she loved her gifts!
This was definitely a more "grown up" Christmas for her. She
got CD's, DVD's, clothes, jewelery, perfume (or as she calls it...."par
foom"), and video games. She kept track of whose turn it was to open
a gift, and genuinely seemed as excited about the gifts the rest of us
got as what she received. Her brothers, on the other hand, were busy fighting
over how sat where! Justin insisted that Jordan's feet were too smelly,
and he refused to sit near him. SHEESH! You'd think they would pretend
to get along on Christmas! LOL
Now, I'm ready to get rid of the Christmas tree, put away the decorations,
and clean the house like crazy.
Have a wonderful weekekend!!!!

Wishing you all a
very Merry Christmas!!! Hope Santa brings all that you are wishing for
this Christmas Eve!!!
I already feel like I've gotton the best Christmas presents ever - Alison
has just learned how to sit up all by herself in the last week or so!!!
She has also had an explosion with fine motor skills too. Just when I
was starting to get a little down over what seemed to be no progress developementally
- BAM!!! - the kid goes crazy, something new everyday it seems! She is
trying to crawl, and it's pretty funny to watch - remember the scene from
BAMBI when he's trying to stand and walk on ice and his legs just keep
going every which way? well that's kind of what Alison keeps doing! Her
knees kind of slide out from under her and she doesn't quite know what
to do with her hands and arms but, boy oh boy, she sure is trying!!!
Hope all who are ill are on the mend really soon!
Take care and once again, Merry Christmas!!!

HI MERRY CHRISTMAS
TO YOU ALL!!!!
Oh so now I know why I have no medical degree!!!! I can tell when something
is wrong just I would be misdiagnosing everyone and they'dd all be hooked
on pain meds cause I hate tosee people in pain.Liv did NOT have an aspiration.BUT
she had a partial collapse of her lower left lung.Wewere at the clinic
forever. They did a chest x ray right when we almost got there which is
arare you guys and just cause the guy was up their with theportable for
another kid. they had just done Livs pulse ox which was low so the guy
passed and the doc told him to take it cause he wasn't hearing any air
or something of that nature. As he came in to tell me about her left side
she puked choked and choked and after GROSS (I brought a trash bag along
thankfully) and the nurse ran with a bucket and they all saw what I meant
she gasped for air and this thing came out of her mouth that was UGGG
foul. Then he had this sly smile. He said lets have her sit for a while
in this room and we'll redo the pulse ox and chest xray in a couple hours.I'm
thinking this guy is just WAY too calm as the nurses were frightened and
he man that she loves ther(OMG Olivia has great taste how I wouldlove
to run up say his name and hug him just like she does LMAO oh well only
she could get away with that)who does other things there paperwork authorizations
procedure scheduling etc... was looking from afar and you could see he
was sooo sad.THEN the doc smiles at me and says don't worry leave the
door open we'll be back in an hour .SO we are nodding off Liv wakes up
dark circles are GONE and she stands up and starts walking around(which
she would walk 2 steps thenlay down on ANY FLOOR it was sad) walked out
said HI to her man and was talking she stopped TALKING(the girl who will
never stop (we wanted it right denise my friend up there??? :) )and EATING
so even though it had only been less than a day she was just bad from
one extreme to the next.Well she is fine apparently she had stuck in her
throat this GIANT EWWWW kinda black and snotty looking THING thats all
I can say that he said she musta had stuck in there and he had bet by
the way she looked and what he saw when he smiled an hour or 2 earlier
that she had goten that out from her left side and her lungs would start
to fill back up.WELL by 5 she was a NEW KID.CAN YOU STAND IT!!!!The staff
was tripping out too cause the way she looked going in and the way she
looked going out were 2 entirely DIFFERENT looks. Like a miracle.A sure
enuf our calm attending there who just takes the BEST BEST care of my
girl and always see Jeff there and is just a great guy who really cares.....SO
YAY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND TO ALL A GOODNIGHT!!!Steff

HI!!!!!
WOW ROBIN and SUZI!!!!YIKES!!!!! Well Jeffs liver #'s are always his ast,alt
high bilirubvin high albumin low,and his clotting factor something or
other is jacked now too.I think those are signs of something going on
in the liver.Jeffs albumin is way low and his bilirubin which has been
amazingly on the high normal end has changed.
Liv got so sick last night you guys. She was up all night puking till all
she had was bile for the last 7 hours.UGGG.This child has never once a
day in her life been dehydrated no matter how sick she has been but she
is now and we have an appt at 1pm.For someodd reason when she throws up,she
throws her head back and I have to put her head forward cause she starts
choking and flailing her armsand legs cause the kid can't breathe THEN
.She even sleepsw with her head back still so I think thats just from
her old and her airways probs in the past.BUT WAAAAA...About 2 am after
taking her lick of a popsicle and going at it again she choked bad and
I heard the stuff go in and her lungs all of a sudden were loud rattly
and YIKES BAD.I think actually the almost doc in me LOL (doncha all feel
you know WAY more medical terminology that you should be paid for it???LOL)
thinks YES thats what happened cause man she isl loud sounding from her
lungs specially thel lower left one and ALL of a sudden she got those
CRAZY SAD raccoon eyes.:( So we are headed in for the after lunch same
day appt.Gotta go BYE will fill ya in later hopefully ;) BYE

Hello All
It has been along time since I have posted here in unomas.... I think
I first came to unomas in 1997.... Let me introduce myself since it has
been so long.... I have 10 children from 27 years to 1 year... Our son
, Richard is 9 years and has DS....
Most of our children have speical needs of one sort or an other.... We
have adopted 7 of the children...
Times get real busy here... Winter is hard on my 2 girls that have Muscular
Dystrophy...
Richard was born with VSD and ASD and Hirsphrungs... It was the Hirsprunges
that have given him most of his troubles...
He now has an ostomy and will have it for life.... The heart surgery was
when he was 3 and he is doing great now... He goes to regular school in
a special needs class... He goes to special olyimpic bowling and swimming...
Love Easter Seals camp in the summer... He wear glasses and wears a hearing
aid in his left ear only...He is a very gentle little man but he can be
stubborn...
We are very busy, as you all are , getting ready for Christmas... I was
real late getting started this year as 2 of the children were sick...
Our daughter Kathleen broke her leg on Sept 22 was in a cast for 75 days...
Got the cast off on Dec 5 and rebroke the same leg on Dec 8...
Well that is all for now... I hope to keep in touch....It get pretty busy
here and I dont get much time to get on the computer..
bye for now

Suzi... maybe it
is in the water? I had the u/s Thursday and a bunch of labs, the results
just came back, no stones, but my labs were all abnormal. So it is either
liver or gall bladder ( I am betting the gall bladder as that is where
all the pain is) and he said there was a connection between this and the
kidney stones too!!! Although I dont get how the two can be related. Anyways
everything gets repeated in TWO WEEKS if I can hold off that long he says.
Great way to diet I'll tell you, can't eat if you want to:-(
Chase was in the school Christmas program today and he did soooo good
singing, just dont ask about the time spent BEFORE the singing, LOL!!!
Steff, how did Jeffy's visit at the dr go yesterday? Everything ok?
Laura, hugs to you, and yuck to your last comment, LOLOL! You can have
yours and MINE! No, wait,...they got a really cool sled last year they
havent gotten to use yet so okay fine, one day and then I want it gone
ok?
hugs and love to all,

Hey everyone! I know
it's been almost a week since I got a chance to post.
Mike is still seeing the dr. He goes back tomorrow~ yesterday he had a
u/s at the hospital. It's looking like liver or GB, but complicated.Possibly
the whole enzimes & biliruben being out of whack are part of whatever
gave him the kidneystone episode in April.
To top that off, Thurs night we ran my dad to the ER by Ambulance. He's
been in ICU with pneumonia on top of the flu which was complicated by
his asthma & blood pressure issues. And yes, he had his flu shot.
So, Sam's birthday yesterday was rather low key. Now my mom has the flu
& Meri finished her Zithromax Wed 7 her nose started running green
again yesterday. I called ot get her RX refilled & the pharmacy is
out of Zithro till tomorrow. Now I have ot drive to another pharmacy &
get them to call to get it authorised.
Fun City here!
Happy Holidays!

Hi all I am back
from my shopping and surprising trip!! Well actually I have been back
for a week... but have been just soooo busy preparing for Christmas.
Pop 80th Birthday Party went really well... it didnt turn out to be a
surprise though.. he knew there was a party for him.. but he didnt know
I was flying down for it, but Mum ended up having to tell him because
he was going to go and buy some air tickets to get me and the kids down...
he really wanted us the be there for his birthday!!
I managed to get ALL of my Christmas shopping done in 2 days!!! and what
a sh*t-fight that was!! I really hate last minute christmas crowds!!!
not to mention I hate shopping in the city anyway!!
Lewis managed to get an ear infection while we were down there!! He has
grommetts (tubes) so the pressure in the plane didnt bother him... but
the day after we arrived, his ear started bleeding!!!! So it was a quick
trip to the Doctor thinking something had ruptured during the flight!!..
it was just a nasty ear infection, but because there was no pressure there
was no pain so he was acting fine!!... KIDS!!
Well... only 2 more sleeps until Christmas!!
I am SOOOO excited!!...
This year Lewis has really taken note of what is happening!! Every time
he sees Santa he gets all excited and points and signs Christmas!! He
doesnt like Santa much.. we tried to take him to see Santa while down
in Perth but he screamed and didnt want a bar of it!! But he likes the
Santa in our Shopping centre up here... he gives out Lollies!!...The other
day Lewis was chasing after him pointing and making loud noises that are
supposed to be words but I dont know which words... something to the effect
of "Santa get back here and give me MORE lollies!!" When I eventually
caught him and dragged him out to the car... he screamed and kicked all
the way!! LOL...
We went driving round town last night looking at christmas lights on houses...
every time Lewis spotted a house lit up he would point and say Look, and
sign Light!! He is Just LOVING Christmas... and Me too!!
Anyway.. gotta get going... I am in the middle of my Pre-Christmas clean
out and chuck out... I have 4 gian bags of CRAP from the girls room which
I have to take to the dump, and four boxes of old toys and clothes to
take to the charity home...
Also still a heap more baking and cleaning before our Christmas Party
tomorrow evening...
Did I mention it was only 2 more sleeps till Christmas??
LOL...
Merry Christmas Everyone...
Love and Huggles,
Tammy and Family...
