We live in Oklahoma (about an Hour from Becky) Shawn is doing good. He is starting to learn to read, which I am sooo excited about. The change of schools has been a great one He is learning soooo much more. Cathy dear you can stop blowing the snow our way now,we have our 4 inches so STOP!lol and to top it off today Alyssa left for a week with the school to camp uggggggggh of all days to leave. It's about 2 hours away my baby what were they thinking and what was I thinking to let her go. Well Justins' teacher started him with some music therapy today and did really great. His pt came out too and did some more testing for the IEP on his gross motor skills. I swear I am not signing this one because they won't include more pt,and start ot and speech. We are still doing great on the throne. Well that's about it for now hope all the little ones' feel better real soon. | ||

I am Debbie and as you have read above I have Mosaic Down syndrome. Sorry I have not kept up with posting here. I don't always have a chance to post messages since my dad is on quite a bit. Today is a rarity. He is playing golf with a neighbor. It would be nice to have my own computer but since I don't have the money I can't. I am fine but still have bouts with my irritated bowel syndrome. It is a pain but, I have to live with it. I love my new volunteer job. I have yet worked with books though. They have quite a selection of movies and I have been putting them in order. I know that I will be putting books in order eventually. I had a very nice thanksgiving. My sister came up with the girls and we had a nice meal. We will drive to Ft. Davis to be with them for Christmas. I have a good family. I am thinking of taking a class at our junior college again. Since I am not working right now I thought why not? It gives me something to do and I want to learn new things. It will depend on wether I can get started on my bio. I am having trouble getting started on it. Well, I have to sign off for now. Take Care! | ||

Mary is doing great. She is attending the Montessori Program in our town and is thriving. Since she started school in September she is walking, learning sign language and is just blooming!!! I can't say enough good stuff about the program. She is also trying to say love verbally and will cross her little arms as much as possible. Did anyone see the Dateline last night. It hit so close to home. Although when I briefly thought of abortion it was not because of down syndrome it was becasue I was told the baby was going to die in my womb. 90 percent of people out there miss out on this experience that we have been blessed with!!! The woman on the show said it best--"The miracle that you ask for may not be the miracle you are blessed with" But it is still a miracle!!! They followed this couple from the time that she found out the fetus had a heart problem, to the diagnosis of down syndrome to wondering if they should abort, to birth to the heart surgery and then to her now at 3 1/2 years old and a beautiful child. I sure hope that people who are struggling to make the right choice saw this last evening. Well it may be a year again before I post so Merry Christmas---happy Valentine's Day---Happy 4th of July--and Happy Halloween and Thanksgiving for 2003!!!! Dorothy | ||

I wsa totally bored so I decided to use all my itty bitty knowldege and remove all the stuff I dont need from my puter so i would have tons of room for all the boys new PC games come Christmas.....well, I delelted the stuff from my documents and tehn I deleted stuff from the desktop I was sure was garbage too, and then I threw it all away, yes, I mean I emptied my garbage. Well now, that sounds pretty good huh? NOT!!! Now I no longer have my free cell game or my solitaire or hearts!!!!!!! So any super wiz out there that can tell me what to do or make me face facts that they are gone forever?? Jackie..yes it is snowing hard here, we have about an inch down and sticking but it is sure pretty :-) Wanna hear some awesome news Jackie??? Susi Q called me this afternoon and said they are going to be HERE FOR CHRISTMAS!!!! WE are going to get together on the Monday before Christmas, want in on it??? Maybe Holly can join us all too and Chris??? I am so happy and excited as I have been missing everyone so much!!! What a great birthday present!!!!! Ok..Ro called for a roll call so lets get moving :-) Me, mom to four sons, Mkie 26, David 23, Chase (DS) 10, and Zach 4 in a month. We live in Michigan with DH who is Dave and a huge yellow lab Bailey. Chase is a stinker but a very loveable stinker...always keeping us jumping, he also has ADHD and tons of sensory issues. He reads like a champ, it is his favorite thing in the world to do. His speech has gotten alot better since his last hospital stay, but he struggles terrible with math and spelling. he can read it, he just cant remember how to spell it. I can't believe it while I was out this morning braving the stores I kept ending up in front of the same potty chair so I took the hint and got it. Put it together, and have been working with Justin today and guess what so far so good. He loves it all I have to do to keep in there is sing and play with him. I wish Tammy was here it's called the Royal Potty and is shaped like a throne and plays music when they go and also comes with a cardboard book. If anyone hears from Tammy let her know the name. Hope everyone has recovered from yesterday I know I can't even bare to open my fridge and just think we get to start cooking again in a couple of weeks lol. Robin hope all is well up there. Chase I didn't forget about ya I'm trying to find something Alyssa had cause I know you will enjoy it so hang in there I'm afraid it's under the stairs and will be getting under there shortly for the rest of the christmas decorations. Mary, Bill and Spencer are great friends and we are very glad that they gave you our address. Hope everyone had a super great Thanksgiving! We stayed home and had a quiet but nice day yesterday and then of course you know I was up and out of the house and shopping by 4:30..it was wonderful!!! my name is Edna. Bill Tutty and Mary Tutty Spencer's mum and dad gave me the address for this web site. My son Robert had downs Syndrome and in January 1999 my son died from skin cancer. I had a chat with Bill regarding this and he was a great help to me as he was when he phoned me yesterday. Although Robert is not with me now I would still like to be a part of all the families and Downs Syndrome children if you would not mind. Robert is a great loss to me as I also lost another son and Robert's smile helped me through all this. You will all know what I mean I am sure. God bless Edna | ||

Happy belated Thanksgiving!!! Happy Birthday to KATIE and MARIA!!!!! Well I am stuffed as well...What a porker I can be. Olivia is still not feeling okay so she ate practically NADA!!! I had my ma change the setup from buffet to sit down cause Olivia tends to pull up chairs to the buffet and just chow. I was trying to prevent that and ALAS she didn't eat a thing..(now you know she is ill LOL) We are doing our nails right now. This child LOVES to do her nails. I have one of those automatic nail file thingys with several attachments and Liv LOVES it...I'm not too good with the tiny stencils so I am gonna forgo that one...It's a spongebob marathon so its a good day...I took her outside earlier and she hippity hopped all thru the neighborhood. She even asked a few neighbors...LOL... WANNA JOIN ME??? LOLOLOL!!!!She's a trip. We are also watching a neighbors dog and she ADORES him.... She LOVES to boss MAX(the dog) around and have him sit beg roll over. She thinks she's quite clever.... So that is that. No $$$ for sales. Still trying to figure out how we are gonna pay rent.
